Superintendents Message

Welcome to the Pine Eagle School District. It is a tremendous honor to serve the Community as Superintendent. I love serving this great community and treasure the relationships with the staff, parents, and students. Pine Eagle is a special place. I am overjoyed to be in a position to positively impact the lives of students and teachers.

Several months ago we determined the need to dismiss school and engage in a virtual or distance learning model. Most of us thought it would be a very short term endeavor. Unfortunately, that has not been the reality. We missed our students and are glad to be able to have them back on campus. We have been working hard to ensure our schools are safe so we can remain on campus. I would like to outline a few of the measures we have in place to ensure our staff and students are returning to a safe environment:

  • Classrooms have been reconfigured to ensure a minimum of six feet of distance between students and staff.

  • Signage has been placed at all sites to remind staff and families to practice social distancing, wear a mask, and stay home if ill.

  • Markers have been placed throughout the school to assist with social distancing.

  • We are using health screening, and contact tracing for all entering campus. This will includes health related questions and a temperature checks.

  • Masks are required of anyone over the age of two (2) entering our campus.

  • Equipment has been purchased to assist in the effective daily cleaning of all areas.

  • Schedules have been established to ensure all areas are cleaned on a regular basis.

  • Hand sanitization stations have been installed in high traffic areas of the campus.

  • The Baker County Health Department works with us to ensure the campus follows all the protocols to maintain a safe environment.

We will continue to have 2 options for students this year, On-Campus / Comprehensive Distance Learning (when Needed) or Pine Eagle Web Academy.

I want to thank all the Parents, Students, and Staff for being flexible, and working together to make this school year successful for the students in our community.

Please, stay safe and healthy.
